Wait and watch: at your age, if periods are heavy (>2 pads/hr) or last greater than 7-10 days, see your GYN for an evaluation. Around the time of menopause, your periods can become irregular, light/heavy, and can be associated with mood swings, hot flashes etc. Regards Dr M
