A member asked:

My 2 year old son has a stye on his upper eye lid. is there an easy-to-use treatment?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Topical heat: Take a wash cloth, and run it under the warm water tap. Apply it to your eye (if you cannot stand it, wait until it cools a little). Then put it on your son's eye for 3 minutes and do this 5 times per day. This will usually cause the stye to melt away or open and discharge. If still present more than 3-4 days, or worsening, see your pediatric ophthalmologist.
