A member asked:

Is a double dose of amoxicillin for a child any danger?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: The extra medicine is not toxic to your child like it would be doubling up on a Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or other med with a narrow safety profile. There may be an increase in the risk of developing diarrhea at higher doses.
