Get to a healthy wt: you don't say how overweight you are but often even 10-15lbs weight loss will normalize the liver function. the 'stage 1' is on a biopsy or fibroscan? i would definitely make sure you minimize any other risk factors (BP, cholesterol, DM, alcohol etc) and make sure you get to and stay at a healthy weight.
