I've heard your menstrual cramps usually go away after you have your first child. is it true, and why?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Open cervical os: The process of vaginal delivery opens the cervical os and after delivery any cramping due to cervical os narrowing is now gone and the menstrual flow passes more easliy decreasing subsequent period cramping.
