A member asked:

What to do if i have a perforated eardrum they gave me amoxicillin?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Perferated Eardrums: Perforated eardrums is a common and most often fairly harmless complication of an ear infection. Usually it heals well without complication and without permanent hearing loss. Sometimes the hole in the eardrum does not heal properly and permanent hearing loss can occur which is sometimes surgically correctable. Amoxicillin is one of the more popular antibiotics used to treat and works well.
