Refuse to donate: If you do not like the recipient (r) who will get your kidney, tell the transplant surgeon (ts) about your concerns and have the ts say you and the r not compatible. If the r has no living related relative that is compatible, the r has to go on a list to see if a kidney can be obtained from a cadaver and that may take months to years.
