Hard to answer: Time will tell unfortunately. If you are okay after a day or two I would not worry. Make sure you prepare/eat well cooked poultry! See your doctor immediately is you start feeling ill. Best of luck!

A 21-year-old member asked:

Does chicken soup actually help fight a cold?

Probably: While no one has done the perfect study on this, randomizing people to groups with and without soup and blinding them as to which therapy they get, there are many anecdotal studies showing a shorter duration and reduced intensity of symptoms of cold sufferers who eat chicken soup while sick. It is not clear why this works.

Is it safe to defrost and refreeze raw chicken?

Refreeze Chicken?: According to the USDA, as long as the food has been kept below 40° F (and if the chicken has been in the refrigerator this whole time, it almost certainly has been) it hasn't developed dangerous bacteria and is considered safe to refreeze. The only downside is that it may alter the texture of the meat.

I just ate undercooked chicken...How long will it be until I don't have to worry about getting sick?

Most likely OK: Consuming undercooked chicken not necessary will make you sick..Unless the checkened is contaminated. Even with some contamination, the stomach acid can generally handle that for you. If the contaminated with salmonella, staph aureus, or other nasty bugs, you may know as soon as 1-2 hours or up to 2 days later. After 2 days, likely ok. Consult doc if u get sick.. Stay well... Good luck..

When my husband eats chicken, he feels like its getting stuck....What could cause this?

He is probably right: Sensation of food sticking is a pretty reliable indicator that it is. This could be due to a variety of different things - stricture, obstruction, pouch, muscular weakness depending at which level it occurs. With symptoms like this it is best to see your doc who can get the right study to identify the problem.

I ate a small piece of raw chicken by mistake, it looked cooked/seared on the outside. What are the chances i'll get sick?

Very low: Happens every day around the world. Sometimes intentional. Small amount, healthy patient, clean source means very low likelihood of any significant disease.
