I have hunger pains i've also noticed that i have small bumps around my nipples, could this be a sign of my period or should i be really concerned?

Define "hunger pang": Sensation of hunger is related to contractions of stomach muscles, & lead to hunger pangs once they become severe. Are triggered by hormone Ghrelin (released if blood sugar levels drop with prolonged periods without eating). Hormones Peptide YY &Leptin cause the reverse--the sensation of being full. Irregular meals make hunger pangs worse; older adults may have less violent stomach contractions.

Symptoms: Those small bumps around the nipples may be Montgomery Glands. The only way to know if you are pregnant is to take a pregnancy test. But, it may not turn positive until you have missed your period. Can take an early response type test for earlier results.
