Yes: And that is the goal of screening abdominal ultrasounds or cat scans. Finding the aneurysm before it ruptures is the only way to electively repair and prevent death from a ruptured aneurysm.

Yes: A CAT scan is an excellent way to evaluate an aneurysm. For Abdominal aneurysm an Ultrasound is equally effective to diagnose and cheaper.
