Foodborne illness: The CDC says that green leafy vegetables are one of the most common causes of foodborne illness. Be sure to wash your kale very well. What else was in there? In any case, if you have severe burning and pain, I would absolutely recommend you get seen and get a physical exam and possible treatment to make sure you are safe. Even bring leftover kale with you if you have any. Good luck.
