A member asked:

After 2 months of missing a bc pill or 2 a month, i've had a solid month of taking them on time. safe to assume my hormones are a little out of whack?

No: It's definitely possible to miss a pill or two and still have your body feel and be normal. The Progesterone only pill is less forgiving, but the combined estrogen/progesterone pill is typically going to keep your body at an even state, even if you miss a pill now and then. If that didn't answer your question, consider rephrasing, best of luck!

Your Back on track: Ideally, women should take their birth control pills every day. However many women miss a pill or two every month. This can significantly reduce contraceptive effectiveness, and lead to changes in period frequency. Good that you are back to taking them every day. Your hormones are probably back on track too. If you continue to miss pills, discuss other birth control methods with your dr.
