Why?: So you can use that particular one? Anabolic steroids are highly dangerous drugs, even when they are used for the right reasons in people who have deficiencies or where such agents have therapeutic purposes. When used for the wrong reasons (artificially inducing muscle growth) by people with little or no medical training they can cause psychosis, cardiac problems, liver damage and many others.

When should I use inhaled steroids used for asthma?

2 doctor answers5 doctors weighed in
Dr. Douglas Tzanetos
Allergy and Immunology 19 years experience
"rules of 2": If you use a rescue inhaler like albuterol more than twice per week, wake at night with asthma symptoms more than twice per month, or refill albuterol more than twice per year, then you may need inhaled steroids to help control your asthma. A breathing test performed by an allergist or pulmonologist can be helpful in deciding whether inhaled steroids should be used as well.

Will pseudoephedrine hydrochloride affect a drug test?

3 doctor answers6 doctors weighed in
Dr. Michael P Vaughn
Allergy and Immunology 34 years experience
Possibly: "false positive testing" occurs when a test finds evidence of illegal drug use when no drugs were taken. This can be a result of some over-the counter medications having chemical structures similar to illegal drugs. Pseudofed, found in many allergy and "cold" medications is one of these drugs.
A 31-year-old member asked:

Why does mild steroid based cream make my skin feel tight?

2 doctor answers2 doctors weighed in
Dr. Barry Resnik
Dermatology 31 years experience
Creams dry skin: Creams tend to dry skin, while ointments tend to trap water and moisten skin. When we treat inflammation in the skin, we always try to imagine a "skin/water/cream" sandwich, to avoid dryness.
