Rarely: Tumors of the heart are exceptionally rare. Centers like the mayo clinic report about 1 case/yr; most doctors have never seen one. Only about 10% of heart tumors are cancerous; the others are benign. The most common benign tumor of the heart is an atrial myxoma which can grow large and obstruct blood flow through the heart. Even these are still really rare.

Yes, rare: Myxoma are tumors of connective tissue (benign). They can occur in the heart and can grow large. Primary amyloidosis, a blood cancer, can also involve heart, known as cardiac amyloidosis. Primary heart cancer such as cardiac sarcoma (angiosarcoma) is very rare.
