Need diagnosis: I can give you a few ideas but you need an ENT doctor or a neurologist for a specific diagnosis. Here are some ideas. Bppv (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo); perilymph fistula (an opening between the inner and middle ears). The fact that the vertigo (spinning) lasts for only a few seconds most likely points to an inner ear problem and can be treated.
