After food's gone: With no food present in the upper digestive tract, there's only digestive enzymes, mucus and bile. Bile makes vomit yellowish. However, once the bile is completely evacuated, all that remains are digestive tract secretions. This includes the mucus, digestive enzymes, stomach acid, and water secreted into the gut. They're colorless. Drink lots of water and if it does not stop soon, see a dr. Best!
