A member asked:

My gynae says oral contraceptive have to be stopped after 3 months. temporary soln and should be avoided. only condom can b used lng term. is it true?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Unless you have contraindications to being on birth control ( in which case you shouldn't take them at all) you can remain on birth control as long as you need it. There is no limit to how long you may stay on it. It's always a good idea to use condoms for std protection.
