A member asked:

When went to the doctor today he said i had a sinus infection. it hurts my chest when i cough. is that normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

2 related symptoms: Sinus infections are usually viral at the beginning. The fact that your chest hurts when you cough is most likely muscle tenderness caused by the coughing. Although the sinus symptoms (pain in the face, yellow nasal drainage) do not cause the cough, they are probably related to the same viral infection. Also, sinusitis can lead to excessive PND and that may lead to your cough.
