What is the difference between implantation bleeding and a light period? do they both have bold clots and last 7 days?

Wide variation: There isn't a way to tell by the characteristics of the bleeding whether it's a light period or implantation bleeding. After a couple weeks, when you take a pregnancy test, you'll know. The test will be positive if you are pregnant and had implantation bleeding. The test will be negative if it was just a light period.
