A member asked:

Been trying to conceive, periods 3 days late and i've had slight light pink/ browny spotting for few hours but negative pregnancy test, i'm confused?

Hang in there: Negative pregnancy tests early on are often falsely negative. While the test is accurate, the hormone has to be in the urine, the amount of which varies in time and each female's metabolism. A positive is reliable. A blood test (serum hcg) is reliable, but you can also wait a month and redo the urine hcg.
