Can tonsil and adenoid problems be heriditary?

Possibly: I believe there is a genetic component to most diseases. The ability of the immune system to overcome infectious diseases is probably genetic. But even though this immune background is important, the development of viral or bacterial infections of the tonsils and adenoids is the result of being exposed to others who harbor these infectious agents and this is not genetic.
