Need to get checked: You should make sure that you have adequate response to the hepatitis b vaccine, by checking the level of hepatitis b surface antibody in your blood. If you are adequately protected, the risk of contracting hbv from your husband is very low. If he is hbv dna positive, medications can convert him to negative, which will reduce the risk of transmission to the baby thru accidental body fluid exposu.
