Premenstrual spots: This pattern of bleeding does not indicate anything serious usually. You will need an exam to be sure. You might be bleeding from a superficial vessel on the cervix or you may have polyp in the uterus. Sometimes the doctor will find nothing and might have you take one or two cycles of oral contraceptives to see if this bleeding will clear. Best to get checked.
