Safely: As long as you take anafranil (clomipramine), (clomipramine) it will be expressed in your breastmilk. There have only been a few studies of breastfeeding mothers on Anafranil (clomipramine) and their infants. In one of the studies, the babies were followed for 2 years and no untoward effects on growth or development were detected. The babies' blood was tested for the presence of anafranil (clomipramine). It was detected, but in low doses.
