Gabapentin can be : Prescribed up to 3600 mg a day in three divided doses to treat diabetic neuropathy efficaciously. If you have no side effects, it will take several weeks or months to resolve the numbness and tingling of legs, feet or hands. If that treatment was not sufficient, you can ask to be prescribed metanx, a medical food, pro-vitamins mixed product which has shown good results in neuropathic illness.
