Prognosis is getting: Better with advanced treatments now options like monoclonal antibody therapy for hep c , also depends how advanced is your diseases ( how much accessible to you for such treatments ) speak to your doctor , are you a candidate for transplantation(s) how manageable is your copd. Depends: The patient should have a fair life-expectancy if he or she is younger than 60 years of age and sees the doctor on regular basis, provided that the patient follows the doctor's recommendation. There are newer treatment for hep c now and with fewer side effects. I also have patients with COPD who have excellent quality of life after they quit smoking and use inhalers as directed.

See details: Unless you stop smoking immediately the outlook for your COPD is dismal. Gradually suffocating to death is not a good way to leave this world. There are new drugs for hepatitis c that are extremely helpful. See a gastroenterologist for this issue.
