Normal: Periods is uterine wall breakdown and bledding due to hormonal changes. Its normal to have some spotting and changes in bleeding depending on your hormonal fluctuation.

Likely nothing: Occasional spotting like you describe is unlikely to be anything concerning. It is possible that your period wasn't complete, a small cut in the vagina, etc.
