Mild pain common: Mild pain related to stretching of the ovarian capsule is common around ovulation. Moderate or severe pain, or pain of longer duration should be investigated - check with your gynecologist about endometriosis, fibroids, and pelvic inflammation.

Yes!: Peri-ovulatory pain can be before, during, or after ovulation. It doesn't usually last more than around 48 hours.
