Gingivostomatitis: The different diagnosis with this constellation is varied. Bacterial verses viral. The blisters on the tongue point to a viral cause. Recommend seeing your pediatrician for assessment especially as blisters can be quite painful babies often will refuse to drink and can get dehydrated.

Infection: Your son needs to be seen by Dentist, preferably a pediatric dental specialist, a Pedodontist, immediately. High fever must be controlled. Don't wait, get help immediately. This can be quite serious.
