Can you start menopause when you are on the pill?

No: Birth control pills control the amount of hormones being delivered to your body daily. When a woman is close to menopause, most physicians will start to discuss stopping these pills b/c she will not need it. Some women do experience difficulty with irregular cycles, break through bleeding when they enter perimenopause.
