BMS: Burning mouth syndrome is a chronic orofacial pain disorder that is defined by the international association study of pain as "a burning pain in the tongue or other mucous membranes. The most common chief complaint is a constant burning pain that is frequently experienced in the region of the anterior tongue, especially in women.
