Little Angels?: If kids are old enough have them clean their mess. Otherwise, don't be a perfectionist. Regardless of what others say, a tidy house is not that important. Take care of yourself and have fun with your kids. Try to periodically get away to do adult activities. If still feeling depressed and overwhelmed, get some help from psychotherapist who understands all too well. Or find a mothers' support grp.

Divide ; conquer: I feel your pain. My family, too did not appreciate the beauty of a clean home. It is impossible to keep it all up by yourself at all times. I suggest a trick I have utilized. Pick 1-2 areas that must be kept up always - perhaps a living room. This is doable on a daily basis. Then pick a room for each day of the week ( i'll clean bathrooms on wednesdays), and leave the rest until its day pops up.

Set new goals: Visualize the perfectly neat and clean home. Now embrace what that would mean. No one around, no one making any fun or messes. No one "living"in the space.Life and especially life with kids is a construction zone.At some point they will be grown and gone. Embrace the chance to enjoy your time with them & get over the OCD.Relax, nap, clean later if you want or not. Live life not guilt.
