Is it true that ripe banana help in reducing the risk of developing cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I doubt it.: Bananas have a relatively low antioxidant content compared to other dark fruits. They are also fairly high in sugar which would offset most of the beneficial properties of the antioxidants they do have. I am also unaware of any specific studies showing cancer reduction from eating bananas.
