A member asked:

Can you explain if it's true that glutathione can lead to cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not really known: Glutathione is involved in cell growth and survival and in protecting cells from oxidative stress. There are some laboratory studies on cancer cells and in animals that suggest increased levels of glutathione in cancer cells may make them stronger, better able to survive in the harsher environment outside their normal home in the body, and grow faster. It may also help them resist chemotherapy.
