Squishy and stretche: After the baby is delivered your abdominal wall will remain stretched out and squishy for a couple of months. It takes a while for the muscles and fascia (the hard, fiber layer above and below the rectus muscles of the abdomen) to tighten back down. Exercise helps, but time is needed as well.
