Why do my eyes look half open all the time bern like this all my life but i hve had my eyes checked numerous times 20/20 vision?

Possible protrusion: The forward position of the eyes in their sockets can be such that it appears as if the eyes are open, or staring. This can run in families and this might be your case since you say it is lifelong. If it is changing, it could be due to dysfunction of the thyroid system which you should have checked.

Congenital ptosis: Is the most common anomaly of the eyelid. It has autosomal dominant inheritance with incomplete penetrance, meaning each child of an affected individual has a 50% chance of having it, but not always with the same degree of drooping of one or both upper eyelids.
