Panic attack: All the symptoms you described would happen in someone having a panic attack. When an individual is anxious, it is not uncommon to start to take deep sighs and to breathe faster and deeper, this changes the acid level of the blood and causes the spasms of the fingers. Flushing, rapid heart beat, nausea or lump in the throat are all part of it. It feels awful but is not life threatening.
