Infection?: Anytime you scratch or pick at skin some epidermal bacteria most commonly staph can get into the area and cause an infection. Infections are reddened, warm and tender to touch. If so then see a doctor you may need antibiotic. Until then warm soaks and dot pick at it but ay change for the worse see your doctor.
