A member asked:

No bleeding since 60 days, have vascular bleeding patches on thighs w/o pain, currently no medication, was given short progesterone course, am worried?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Progesterone : Progesterone can take a long time to stop bleeding but is much safer then birth-control pills or high-dose estrogen. I assume your doctor is using Progesterone because you have either a bleeding disorder or history of blood clots or other serious medical conditions. Sometimes surgical intervention is necessary both to rule out hyperplasia or cancer of the uterus and also to more quickly reverse anemia and stop bleeding.
