A member asked:

What will give me a false positive pregnacy test?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

False pregnancy test: Home pregnancy tests are generally speaking quite reliable and accurate. And they are the same test that are used by physicians in an office-based test. False positive test results are exceedingly rare. If you got such a result the best thing to do is either to repeat it or to see a physician and explain what happened. Your doctor may then order a blood test for pregnancy.
