Withdrawal symptoms: If you stop cipralex and other ssri medications suddenly, you may experience discontinuation symptoms including: dizziness, body aches, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue, anxiety to agitation, hypersensitivity to sound, and odd sensations like "brain zaps" or inner shivering, and even suicidal thoughts. If you ; your doctor feel it's appropriate to stop such medications, tapering is best.

Yes: You should avoid abruptly stopping cipralex (escitalopram 15mg), especially if you have taken it for at least 30 days. Data show the ssri discontinuation sydrome risk elevates for this medicine if taken for about 30 days. Dose tapering is key. Syndrome can include increased anxiety, dysphoria, depression, insomnia, GI upset, vertigo / "brain shocks", and even suicidality. Please visit your md.
