At least a cycle: With any bcp you should use additional protection for at least one month. After that time, you can be more confident in the contraceptive effect but i would still recommend using condoms to protect against sexually transmitted diseases. The birth control pill cannot protect you from sexually transmitted infections including hiv. Hpv. Also recommend hpv vaccine series.
