Labial trauma: There is no way from what is stated to determine which came first, the redness/itching before or after sex. If protected sex is a latex condom, it could be an allergic reaction to the latex. If there is also a lubricant used, the same could apply. Other considerations would be any chemicals being used in the region, i.e. Laundry detergents, perfumes, bath soaps, scented toilet tissue.
