Nothing: 1- in order to avoid high cholesterol eat right, exercise and avoid being overweight. Your dad may have high cholesterol for other reasons and not all high cholesterol is genetic. 2-if you were born premature you are most likely "caught up" by age 17. 3-if you want to avoid lung cancer the most important thing you can do is do not smoke and try to avoid second hand smoking.
