No: A spontaneous collapsed lung happens when the lung tissue "pops" so to speak. Growth spurts don't cause this but they are more common in tall thin people.

No: The lung should grow and not be susceptible to collapse due to pneumothorax, meaning that underlying lung disease or trauma should be considered.
