Alternative: If you are comfortable using oral contraceptive pills, they are the best option. But if you think you cannot remember taking birth control pill at the same time every day you could use something called NuvaRing which is vaginal birth control.

Depo ;bleeding: In my experience the implant is the worst for irregular bleeding. This type of bleeding usually occurs after the first shot of Depo-Provera but quite often is not a problem after the second and subsequent shots. It might stop. If pills are not your preference, you might consider the Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud. The type of bleeding you are describing is usually not a problem with mirena (levonorgestrel).
