Herpes: 75% of americans have the hsv type one infection. If he does not have hsv one then any exposure to your skin that is infected can cause him to get herpes. If he already has been exposed he cannot get it again. What you may not realize is that contagion has nothing to do with having a sore or not. Viral shedding is now known to not in any way be correlated to sores.
