Allergy?: At this time, trees and grass pollen are in abundance. Oak trees, pecan trees, pine trees, and grass pollen allergy can trigger sinus discharge along with runny nose. If anyone is allergic to pollen, the immune system cells of the nose and upper airway produces mucus to dissolve the offending agents and thus results in post-nasal drip. Feeling of swelling of the throat could suggest inflammation.
