Thyroid/pregnancy: Most likely there will be no noticeable effects on your baby once he/she is born. Your hypothyroidism was diagnosed early in your pregnancy which is good. Generally the recommendation is to keep the TSH between the lower end of normal but below 2.5 which is where yours is currently. Hope this helped.

Hypothyroidism = a : High TSH with a low free t4. Subclinical hypothyroidism (sch) = a high TSH with a free T4 in the normal range. You may need referral to an endocrinologist, as progressive autoimmune thyroid disease could be causing your need for higher doses of eltroxin. Pregnancy outcome as well as fetal ; post-natal growth ; development are optimal if both TSH ; free T4 can be maintained at normal levels..
