Post-op nephrectomy : If your pain and bruising is on the opposite side of the nephrectomy, i would be concerned for a possible retro peritoneal hematoma, essentially a bruise with a collection of blood that may take long to resorb. When you stand up there is less pressure on the nerves running through that space, you will feel it more sitting. Need to talk to your surgeon about this, esp. If you take blood thinners.
